One of the things I enjoy most in my work is teaching to our undergraduate and MSc students here in Glasgow Uni. The benefits are reciprocal: They learn about how amazing and diverse plankton is and they always give me awesome new ideas worth testing.

Students in our Zoology and Marine & Freshwater Biology Degrees are so pationate about animals and marine biology, and interacting with them always makes me feel as part of something important.

I teach Environmental Biology, Aquatic Ecosystems and Univariate and Multivariate stats. But the most exciting time of the year is our Marine Biology field course at FSC Millport.

Every year, 2-3 undegraduate students contribute to research in the lab developing their own questions and methods on marine ecology. Our undegraduate students often publish their research findings in peer reviewed journals!
